Why We Show Our Cats

We choose to show our cats because it is one of the best ways to make sure we are truly breeding to the Ragdoll standard and preserving everything that makes this breed so special. Showing allows our cats to be evaluated by multiple judges who are trained to look for correct structure, type, coat, eye color, and overall balance according to the breed standard. It gives us honest, professional feedback and helps guide our breeding program so we are always improving, not just guessing.

For us, it is not just about titles or ribbons (but we do love them). It is about making sure we are doing things the right way and staying true to the breed. Ragdolls are known for their beauty, their soft expression, and most importantly their gentle, affectionate temperament. By showing our cats, we are able to confirm that we are producing kittens that meet those expectations, both in looks and personality.

It also allows us to compare our cats to others in the breed and continue growing and improving. Breed preservation matters to us, and showing is one of the ways we make sure we are contributing positively to the future of Ragdolls.

About Our Cattery

We’re a family of five here in Louisiana with four kids, lots of laughter, and a house that is almost never quiet. Raising beautiful, affectionate Ragdoll kittens is what we do, but it’s also a big part of our everyday life. This isn’t just a business for us, it’s something our whole family is truly involved in and passionate about.

One of the things we love most is that we do all of this together. The kids are part of everything, from helping with tiny kittens that need a little extra care to going along with us to cat shows. Our show weekends usually mean packing up the car with supplies, cats, and kids and turning it into a fun little family trip. The kids love helping brush and hold the cats, and they get so excited seeing them admired by judges and everyone there.

Our kittens are raised right in the middle of our home, surrounded by kids, noise, and a lot of love. They are handled constantly, played with daily, and grow up used to real family life. We truly believe that is what gives them their sweet, social, easygoing personalities. This is something we’ve built as a family, and it means so much to us to share that with the people who bring one of our kittens home.

 

Early Socialization 

​Our kittens are raised right in our home and start getting socialized from the very beginning. They are handled daily, exposed to normal household sounds, and constantly surrounded by people, including our kids, which makes a big difference in their confidence and personality. From a young age, they are used to being held, played with, and loved on, so they grow up comfortable, trusting, and very people oriented. We focus a lot on early socialization because it helps our kittens transition easily into their new homes and become the sweet, affectionate companions the breed is known for.

How Our Kittens Grow Up

We raise all of our Ragdolls right in our home with us, not in isolated spaces, but as part of our everyday family life. With four kids, there is always something going on, whether it is toys rolling across the floor, little voices, footsteps, or laughter, and our kittens grow up right in the middle of it all. Because of this, they learn early on to be comfortable, confident, and adaptable in a real home environment. They are used to the sounds and rhythms of daily life, from the TV playing in the background to kids running through the house and even the occasional dance party.

Our kittens are handled constantly from a young age, gently held, played with, and loved on every single day. They are exposed to different experiences in a positive way, which helps them develop that easygoing, affectionate personality. This kind of early socialization makes a big difference, and it shows when they go home. They are not shy or overwhelmed, but instead settle in quickly, bond easily, and are ready to be a loving, well-adjusted part of their new family.​

Health and care are a huge priority in our home. Every kitten is vet checked, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and preventives, and spayed or neutered before going home. We also offer a 3 year health guarantee because we truly stand behind what we are raising. From the very beginning, our kittens are given high quality food, a clean and safe environment, and so much hands on attention every single day.

These kittens are raised right alongside our family, not separately, and each one is treated like they are staying here forever. When one of our kittens leaves, it really matters to us that they are going to be just as loved as they were here.

What Our Kittens Come With

All of our kittens are given the very best start before they leave our home. They receive their first sets of vaccinations, are microchipped, and have a full health exam with our veterinarian, including a fecal check. Each kitten also receives one month of Revolution, is fully litter box trained, and is well socialized through daily handling and interaction in our home. By the time they go to their new families, they are confident, healthy, and ready to transition easily.

Our kittens also come with a three year health guarantee, which goes beyond what most breeders offer. We truly stand behind the health and quality of our kittens and want our families to feel confident in their decision. Along with that, each kitten goes home with their TICA registration papers, a very detailed kitten care packet, and a starter pack of our favorite toys. We also include a special blanket that smells like their mom to help comfort them during the transition into their new home.

You will receive a contract, complete health records, and a recommended vaccination schedule to keep your kitten on track. Most importantly, we offer lifetime support. We are always here for our families, whether you have questions or just want to share updates as your kitten grows.​

We have chosen to focus on these traditional lines to help preserve the original look and feel of the breed while maintaining consistency in both appearance and temperament.
