🐾 What Makes Our Ragdoll Cattery Different
Our kittens are raised right in our home with our family and children, so they grow up surrounded by normal everyday life. From the time they’re little, they’re handled, cuddled, played with, talked to, and of course, completely spoiled. All of that early attention and interaction helps them grow into confident, affectionate kittens who are comfortable being part of a family.
With more than 15 years of breeding experience, we know that a lot of thought goes into a breeding program long before a litter is ever born. We carefully choose our cats with health, temperament, structure, pedigrees, and genetics in mind, and we have brought in beautiful bloodlines from around the world. We also attend cat shows and show our Ragdolls, which has given us even more opportunity to learn about the breed, evaluate structure and temperament, and continue improving our breeding program. We want families throughout Georgia to feel good about where their kitten came from and the care that went into raising them.
Health is incredibly important to us. Our adult breeding cats are genetically tested for HCM, PRA-b, and PKDef, and our kittens come with a 5-year health guarantee. We work toward producing beautiful, healthy kittens with the wonderful, laid-back, loving temperament Ragdolls are known for. Our lines include gorgeous colors and patterns, along with champion bloodlines and kittens with beautiful Ragdoll type.
We also want families to be able to really get to know us and our kittens before choosing one. We post lots of videos on our YouTube channel, where you can watch the kittens grow, play, interact with us, and let their little personalities come out. You can also read our Client Reviews to hear directly from families who already have one of our kittens. 🐾 Are Ragdoll Cats Really Lap Cats?
Ragdolls are known for being affectionate, people-loving cats, and many of them absolutely love curling up in a lap. Some will happily stay there as long as you let them, while others would rather stretch out beside you on the couch or follow you from room to room. One thing we notice with Ragdolls is that they usually like being close to their people, even if they don't necessarily want to sit directly on top of you.
Of course, every cat has their own personality. We have some who would probably live in your lap if they could, and others who prefer affection on their own terms. How they're raised and socialized can make a difference too, which is why we spend so much time handling, cuddling, and interacting with our kittens while they're growing up. If you're curious about what else to expect from the breed, our Ragdoll personality and temperament page goes into even more detail.
🐾 What Color Eyes Do Ragdoll Cats Have?
One of the first things people notice about a Ragdoll is those gorgeous blue eyes. Traditional pointed Ragdolls have blue eyes, but the exact shade can vary quite a bit from cat to cat. Some have a lighter, almost icy blue, while others have those beautiful deep blue eyes that really stand out against their coat. Their eye color can also become more noticeable as kittens grow and their coloring develops.
When we're raising kittens, it's fun watching their appearance change during those first several months. Their coats gradually develop more color and contrast, and those blue eyes can look completely different depending on their coloring. Eye color is only one little piece of what makes each kitten beautiful, but it's definitely one of the Ragdoll breed's most recognizable features. You can see examples of the different looks in our Ragdoll colors and patterns page.
